Allocash Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 July 2026

Allocash is a budgeting app that keeps your data in your own Google Drive. This policy explains what information the app uses, where it lives, and the choices you have. The short version: your data stays in your Google account — we never see it.

What information the app uses

  • Your Google profile — your name, email address and profile picture, used only to show who is signed in.
  • Bank transactions you import — you export transactions from your internet banking and choose the files to import, either from Google Drive or from your device. Allocash never connects to your bank.
  • Your budgeting data — your virtual accounts, allocations, rules, settings, and any custom icons you add.

Where your data lives

Everything is stored in a private app-data area of your own Google Drive, and all processing happens in your browser, on your device.

  • There is no Allocash server. Your data is never transmitted to us, stored by us, or visible to us.
  • The app’s code is delivered by our hosting provider; your data is never sent to our hosting provider.
  • Allocash sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no tracking.

Google permissions the app asks for

When you sign in with Google, Allocash requests these permissions and nothing more:

  • Your email address — to show which account is signed in.
  • Your basic profile (name and picture) — to show who is signed in.
  • Its own app data in your Google Drive — the private, hidden file where your budgeting data is saved. Other apps cannot see this file, and Allocash cannot see anything else in your Drive through this permission.
  • Only the specific Google Drive files you choose — so the app can read the bank-export files you pick when importing. Allocash cannot browse, search, or read the rest of your Drive.

How your information is used — Limited Use

Allocash’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:

  • Your data is never used for advertising.
  • Your data is never sold, and never shared with third parties.
  • No one at Allocash can read your data — there is no copy outside your own Google account.

Your choices

  • Revoke access at any time from your Google Account’s third-party connections page. Allocash immediately stops being able to access your Google account.
  • Delete your data: in Google Drive on the web, open Settings → Manage apps → Allocash and choose Delete hidden app data. This permanently removes everything the app has stored.
  • Keep your own copy: the app’s backup feature (in Settings) lets you download your data at any time.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new “Last updated” date.
